Prof. dr Ondřej Vojtěchovský

Ondřej Vojtěchovský is chair of the Institute of World History at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. He is also a researcher at the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes in Prague and editor-in-chief of the Securitas Imperii. Journal for the Study of Modern Dictatorships. He got his doctoral degree in 2010 with the PhD. thesis on the Yugoslav Cominformist exile in Czechoslovakia.  His academic interests include the history of South Eastern Europe, especially Yugoslavia, Czech and Czechoslovak relations with this region, Communist parties and regimes, and the history of Czechoslovakia in the period of State Socialism. He published a monograph Z Prahy proti Titovi! Jugoslávská informbyrovská emigrace v Československu (From Prague against Tito. Yugoslav pro-Soviet Émigrés in Czechoslovakia, Prague 2012, Zagreb 2016) and co-authored monographs on the history of Serbia, Dějiny Srbska (History of Serbia, Prague, 2005, 2016, 2019), and on the West Balkan states in 21st century, Státy západního Balkánu v uplynulém čtvrtstoletí a perspektivy jejich vývoje (Western Balkan States in the last 25 years and Perspectives of Their Development, Prague, 2016).
