Abstract: This article offers a critical examination of Salim Kadri Kerimi’s response to my reply concerning his critique of my earlier study on the deportation of Albanians from Kosovo and Metohija, published in Tokovi istorije, No. 3 (2022). The analysis highlights Kerimi’s selective and tendentious interpretation of archival documents, wherein facts are interpreted in a manner that supports his pre-existing thesis - namely, that the Yugoslav communist authorities systematically and forcibly deported Turks and other Muslims. This approach often involves overlooking the actual content and context of the sources cited.

Summary: This paper addresses and refutes the criticisms put forward by Salim Kadri Kerimi in his response to my defense against his initial critique of my work on the deportation of Albanians from Kosovo and Metohija in the 1950s. It demonstrates that Kerimi's objections lack internal coherence and, in several instances, are mutually exclusive. Moreover, the paper underscores that Kerimi employs historical sources uncritically, attributing to them meanings aligned with his thesis that the Yugoslav authorities allegedly carried out forced expulsions of members of the Turkish national minority and other Muslim communities.
