Serbian-Albanian Relations in the Albanian Textbook for Eighth Grade in Kosovo and Metohija
Abstract: The paper analyzes the Albanian history textbook for 8th grade, used in Kosovo and Metohija. Emphasis is placed on several questions. These are: the creation of an Albanian state, the Prizren League, the Peć League, the Balkan Wars and the World War I.

Serbian-Albanian relations in Kosovo and Metohija are very complex with problems that have been present for centuries. A historical and scientific dialogue could be one of the possible solutions to the Kosovo issue. Albanian 8th grade history textbook used in Kosovo and Metohija, emphasizing "Albanian areas from Kosovo to Čamerija," distorting or silencing certain historical facts and making artificial Albanian statehood in Kosovo and Metohija, is not a good step, neither objective nor scientific, on that difficult path, but aims to legitimize the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
